Batman’s Tumbler Can Officially Be Yours For a Cool 3 Million Dollars

Warner Bros.’ decision to spin Wayne Enterprises into an extreme high-end luxury lifestyle brand—casually selling Batman fans $1,500 skincare products or $21,000 phallic mushroom lamps—was already the height of absurdity, but now the studio is kicking it up a notch with the latest addition to the Wayne Enterprises catalogue: an ultra-rare, functioning but not-street-legal, three million dollar recreation of the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies.

Made in collaboration with Action Vehicle Engineering, just 10 Tumblers will be made for incredibly wealthy people interested in dropping $2.99 million on a random Tuesday. Although, obviously, you cannot pop down to the shops in this, each Tumbler will be fully functional, and include bespoke modifications and personalization for each buyer, including custom-fit interiors. Here’s the full technical breakdown of each vehicle, if you don’t have three million bucks to spend but are still interested in what it takes to actually make a functioning Batmobile/light armored vehicle:

Three million and no flames coming out of the engine? Cowards. If you do end up on the allocation list for one of the 10 Tumblers, it’ll take around 15 months after you drop that three million to actually get the vehicle. So why not peruse the rest of Wayne Enterprises’ catalogue while you’re at it. Maybe you need your Tumbler to store your golf bag, a steal at $4,100. Perhaps you can serenade it, tickling the ivories of your $100,000 Alpange Piano. To be fair, the Tumbler itself is cheaper than the other automotive offerings on display, like Automobili Pininfarina’s 3.4 million dollar Gotham-themed Battista.

Thankfully, Wayne Enterprises also sells the Hot Toys 1/6-scale Batmobile Tumbler if all this is a bit too rich for your tastes. At $635, it’s perhaps the closest thing to a deal the entire endeavor has to offer. It’s an absurd amount of money to contemplate in and of itself, but perhaps neither you nor I are the kind of people to be among the 10 who will eventually end up owning an actual Batmobile as a casual purchase.

All this and you still can’t buy the giant penny from the Batcave. What gives?
